DONATIONS

The Peace Development Fund (PDF) - see http://www.peacedevelopmentfund.org/ - has agreed to accept the Sylvia Bingham Fund (SBF) as a donor-advised fund. This means that PDF will accept contributions on behalf of the SBF and will make donations to non-profit organizations based on its advice – informed by suggestions from the community of family and friends who know us or knew Sylvia. Ultimately, the funds are under the legal control of PDF but PDF will not distribute funds without seeking our advice. This arrangement allows contributions to go to organizations that reflect the principles of the SBF without us having the obligation to run a 501c3 stand-alone organization. PDF will handle all the paperwork involved.

So, please make your check out to “Peace Development Fund” and in the check’s memo line, indicate “Sylvia Bingham Fund.” Send your check to:

Please no longer make contributions to BACLF, the small foundation that agreed last fall to accept and deposit checks in a special, temporary account. The total balance in that segregated BACLF account is now being transferred to the PDF.

For any of you who already made a donation to BACLF and need an acknowledgement for tax purposes, please write to info@sylviabinghamfund.org and one will be sent to you.
